Premier League Title Race Predictions

Liverpool Players

From the first month and a half of the season, it seems as if the Premier League is opening up for an interesting year. After seven gameweeks, the league is full of favorites and underdogs competing for the title. With all the world-class players and teams throughout the league, this year's title race will likely be an exciting and close affair.

In comparison to the final standings last year, a few new teams are near the top of the table. Right now, Tottenham Hotspur F.C., AFC Bournemouth, and Crystal Palace F.C., who were all outside the top eight last year, are all inside the top six of the league, only a few points away from first place. As underdogs, although these teams have been impressive so far, it is unlikely that they will stay competitive in the title picture as the season progresses. In contrast, despite having high expectations coming into the season, Chelsea F.C. has had a relatively quiet start so far. Despite winning the Club World Cup this summer, Chelsea has only two wins in six games to start the season , but they are still likely to be competitive at the top of the table.

Overall, regardless of how talented or impressive teams have been this season, the three clear favorites to win the Premier League are Arsenal F.C, Manchester City, and Liverpool F.C.. For the past two seasons, this combination of teams has consistently finished as the top three in the league. For starters, winning six titles in the last eight years , Manchester City have been one of the most dominant Premier League squads of all time. With some of the best players in the world like Rodri, Erling Haaland, and Phil Foden, and a legendary coach in Pep Guardiola, it is impossible to count them out of the title race. Moreover, Arsenal have also been consistent over the past few years, finishing second for each of the last three seasons. With one of the best defenses in the sport and tactics that outclass opponents, Arsenal are looking like strong contenders to win the league. In the end, the most likely outcome in the title race is Liverpool going back-to-back. After a dominant performance last year, Liverpool reloaded, spending £449 million on players to add to their squad . Liverpool has world-class players at almost every position, and has a style of play that looks almost unbeatable. In the end, despite all the impressive teams across the league, it seems like Liverpool's title to lose.
